Greetings.

My name is Matt Welch. I am an avid skier, former ski bum and ski patroller at Mt. Crested Butte. During my time in Crested Butte I traded my Alpine gear for telemark boots and skis. Periodically, I would ski with a traditional lurk made of wood or bamboo. I loved the free flowing quality this tool brought to my aggressive style of skiing. Unfortunately, the pole would often break. Riding the lift was a challenge and hiking to Crested Butte's extreme areas was exhausting. I needed to develop a lurk that would be durable, ski lift friendly and adapt to versatile situations.

The TeleStick is that tool. I developed it for myself, however, once I began to ski with it, I decided that it needed to be made available to the public. It is easy to use and does not only add to the enjoyment of the skiing experience, but also enables the skier to improve their balance and fluidity. Additionally, the strong and durable quality of the TeleStick combined with the technology of skis today leaves the "trick factor" limitless!

Best Regards,

Matt Welch
